Not sure on the Harris ones, but on my gliies ones they came with a new rod end clevis to replace the standard Honda part, and this then fitted correctly with the new pedal.

Yours looks like it needs a longer shaft to allow the master cyl to move blacktop the correct mountings.mbut hopefully benny or MJONSEY will show pictures of theirs and you can see what is missing

i have the same rearsets in black.

i may have a few spare gear linkage rods lying about - i used them for stirring paint with lol. the one i have fitted atm is right for my setting.

also may have a few spare footpegs - if not you can get them from racealternatives (google) - they are designed to snap off to save the rearset frame so if you are tracking it you'd be wise to have a spare set.

the left is different to the right btw.

re the brakelight switch - i used the original switch bracketed it onto the rear of the rh rearset out of the way, and drilled a tiny hole in the pedal lever arm and hooked the spring through.
works great and passed mot twice.

if you like i can take a pic of it tomorrow when its light.

you dont need to use a return spring btw - the hydraulic action of the mc returns good enough.

and also - r1 heel plates fit perfectly and look the dogs :)

heel plates, link bars and footpegs all available from http://www.racealternative.co.uk/Defaul ... &DeptID=50

the footpegs, are the ses type - you need one of each, 10mm & 8mm

Thanks guys,

Benny that's really helpful mate thanks. If you could take a pic of your brake switch setup that would be appreciated.

Good news regarding the return spring, that's one less thing to worry about. So my only real problem is the mc connection to the pedal needing extending.

Spare pegs is probably not a bad idea, though I wont be tracking my bike unfortunately with my 118db cans  but I may clip a car filtering through traffic. Didn't realise they where different sizes I shall have a look at that. I shall be adding those R1 carbon plates to my shopping list :D very nice, top tip

i didnt have to extend anything to get my mc to fit - it just went straight on???

i'll go take some pics in a min (only just got up!)

the footpegs.... the left side has a flat bit that fits straight on, the right has a round bit for the brake pedal to go through.

snapped my left one a few years ago when i dropped it at oulton park :Ball Kick: .... thats when i found that racealternative site.... but until then i made do with a piece of 10mm threaded bar and a load of locknuts screwed onto it!

hard to get decent pics as the bike is hung from the garage roof atm wedged behind my scooter!
i think i can see what you have missing - there's a plate that carries the mc that bolts on with countersunk cap heads from behind.

i;ll try get some clearer pics after - the swing arm is coming off in a bit

Your heel plates are mounted in a strange place. I would have thought they mounted in front of the M/C utilising the same bolts that are holding the M/C in place. Nice solution with the light switch, though i think I'm going to go with the Goodridge pressure banjo.

Strange the M/C connection cause on mine even with maximum adjustment the pedal ends up at a stupid angle. I got to find out the thread size on the bottom of the M/C (I think it's M12) get rid of the clevis connector and put a rose joint on via a bit of threaded bar and threaded sleeve. It should have plenty off adjustment in it then as well. That's my cheap option, either that or buy an R1 Brembo cylinder.

yeh i just put the heel plates there cos theyre the same on both sides and the bolt holes lined up perfectly....
was more concerned with them protecting my foot from another broken chain than aesthetics lol 8O

Today I finally got around to fitting my rear sets. All what was needed was a pressure banjo and a rose joint. I thought I may have to extend the thread on the bottom of the master cylinder but it turned out there was enough length with just the rose joint. Adding that has given it a little extra weight which is good as it pulls back down nice and smooth with no return spring.

Went for a quick blast around the block and it all feels so much better, gear changes are smooth with no clunckyness, pedal height are perfect and angle of gear selector and brake pedal. I then gave the bike a quick wash and wax.

I am now happy they are finally done. All that is left is to give the rear brake a quick bleed as it's a bit spongy, still waiting on Brembo fluid to turn up in post. And Thet could do with a better polish rather than the quick once over I gave them, and then seal the polish so they don't dull. I don't want to be polishing them all the time. I also need to get myself some nice carbon heel plates which will finish them off nicely. :biggrin

Thanks for all your help and advice chaps, especially Jonsey the master braker.

A couple of pics, not the best as it was dusk and I was rushing to pack up.
