BSB

Post by Kev L »

Just read that Tommy Hill is taking a year out of racing in 2013. Shame because he is a quality rider who hasn't been lucky with injuries when he went to the international arena.
Be a shame if he doesn't get a decent ride when he returns in 2014, following the birth of his child.

Agree saw a documentary special thing a other year on Hill, was really good about his upbringing and his parents sacrifice they made to get him to the point he was with a factory ride

Keep thinning i hope crutchlows misses doesn't have a baby any time soon...

Strange tho as Dovi is a family man but you never hear anything about his or ever see his personal life he keeps it very separate from the Racing side doesn't have the other half and kids at racing, away from the track he doesn't have a bike and his choice of car is or was an estate car, very humble...

Did you follow the 1st test timings Kev? Dovi went well on the Duke a lot better than i expected and faster than Rossi's times at the same track, Rossi back on the M1 wasn't as good as expected tho.

Yamaha cocked up a bit leaving Valencia for Arragon because of the poor weather conditions, then Valencia cleared and the teams got out whilst Rossi was held back due to poor weather over Arragon. Whatever happens he will be quicker on the M1 than he was on the Duke, it just remains to be seen whether he can be fast enough to challenge Pedrosa & Lorenzo. Time moves on and waits for no man, not even VR!!
Good to see Bradley on the Tech 3 along with Danny Kent moving up to Tech 3 Moto 2. He does love his Brit riders does Herve!

Lets hope next year it gets some more money thrown at it by the BBC with two Competitive Brits in the Mix, the difference in coverage between Moto GP and F1 is a joke its very slap dash in comparison

Any news on Ellison? has some one else got his Paul Bird ride?

Not seen anything about Ellison, but he did appear to have been treated very badly by the management of the Paul Bird team. I think they have an eye on Shakey moving across, given the relationship Burn & Bird have going on.

Lorenzo pointed the finger at Ellison for his major off at Valencia. tw@. He made a bad decision to try to pass in an inappropriate spot and went off of the dry line and onto the damp. The resulting carnage had nothing to do with anyone other than Lorenzo.
Ellison had some fair results through the season given the bike was new to him.

Agree that was solely Lorenzo's fault!

Ellison didn't know he was there and there was no where he could have gone in the middle of the esses too if he had been aware,
It was clear to the million viewing that Lorenzo thought that Pedrosa was still right up his chuff and he was desperate to get past and couldn't wait to make a safe pass on the straight
He run in with to much speed to the back marker (Ellison) and lost it when he had to shut the power down and adjust the bike getting it out of balance tying its self in knots before spitting him off much like his early crashes on the M1, i swear he's made of iron tho he's had some spectacular horrific looking crashes and been a very lucky boy walking away

Was a hell of a roller coaster of a race that last one, gutted that Call dropped it 3 podiums in one year would have been fantastic given it was 12 year gap by British riders since his first in the year and all

Hopefully onward and upward for Cal next season as principal rider for the team. It would be nice to see him pushing but being more consistant with finishes. It would be nice to see Bradley getting some top ten finishes early in the season for his confidence sake.
As for Lorenzo and his crashes can you imagine what Danny Pedrosa would be like after one of those incidents, He's like a china doll in comparison.

Oh yeh he would be buggered, if he was to crash get injured and drop that half stone of muscle he's put on this year he can kiss goodbye a podium for a while,

Having him injury free for the first time in what feels like ages has been spectacular, he was able to really get the bike stopped hard which he struggled with in the past and the crank it over and drift it like stoner too, more of the same please next year :Beer Popcorn:

Hopefully Marquez isn't going to be a jumped up big head and go in all guns blazing and cause mayhem on the track from the off

I know what you're saying about Marquez, but part of me hopes he does go in all guns blazing, just for the reaction it would get! Can you imagine Colin Edwards holding him by the throat and gently shaking him whilst discussing the finer points of whooping upside his head! Or Cal with the hump hunting him down.
At least there are prospects of greater entertainment with the crew next year.
