Checked the RR and result, an aftermarket job.........Phew !
Fixed the rear mudgaurd plastic tray thingy in position with two SS fittings that replaceed the one rusted nut n bolt that was holding it, on one side .
Removed seat cowl and rear light to look at wobbling rear light fixings, all looked original apart from the mysterious third fixing on the bottom rear of the light that not connected to anything ???????????
Seat cowl/tailpiece was only secured by four fixings the two that fix to the black rear plastic mudgaurd thingy where missing and the two top fixings have incorrect length spacer arrangement. ( two m10 bolts ).

Plenty left to do .........

Cheers
Matt

Put the exhausts back on the correct way, tapering in towards the end of the bike, put on a C-TEK charger and attempted to find somewhere to stick my tax disk holder.. Then had a good ol' rev session on it, and stuck it on the dolly in the shed. :(

I just realised I posted that in the wrong thread. Doh! It must have been the shock of the tankslappa return.

It bolts on to the bottom of the swingarm towards the rear so covering the face of the chain on the rear sprocket. I think the idea is to stop a slack chain jumping off, but it could be used more for looks.

Good to have you back on board. We need some more witty humour to make for my lack of it. How's it going, I take it you still have the storm. Don't know if you noticed but there are a few workshop days on the cards http://www.vtr1000.org/phpBB3/viewtopic ... rkshop+day Church of VTR and T-shirt rags.
