I do a regular journey of 80miles dead, if there is loads of traffic and most of the time I am filtering below 5k rpm then it only takes about £6.40 to top the tank up (thats about 43 mpg's). If there is no traffic (ie 1am) then it costs about £9.20 (thats about 30 mpg's). That could explain the difference in peoples tank ranges (plus they maybe running the larger capacity tanks). That's a big difference cos say you have 13litres of fuel before the light comes on then you could do 86 miles or 120 miles, just depends how you ride and the traffic. I'm just used to the change in consumption and don't worry about it, I look at it that if I'm stuck in traffic just think of the money I'm saving.
