Looks messy and with the faring bracket broken it will either be a fighter (but how do you mount the clocks ?), or it's broken for spares. ..... But perhaps it is designed as a weak point so there has been very little force on the frame, so it's only a question of being able to weld the bracket back on without distorting the bearing races.

What type of insurance has mac got? That will decide what options he is left with!?

Nah, it'll be alright.
I have a spare frame he can have and the old one might just have the little hole made bigger, braced and used as a ram air from- cold air in through the headstock.....

Silver lining or what?

But as to Bazza's comment about the hat business- can't see him doing much knitting for a while- got mine though- he dropped it in before he tipped it in and dropped it.

Op now tomorrow, Weds.

People Have
the orriblest
Accidents,
Mac

Some slip on bananas
Or fall through thin ice,
Hammer their thumbs
Or get pinched in a vise.

Some walk into manholes
Or fall out of bed,
Ski into trees
Or get bopped on the head.

Inside Verse:

But whatever it was
That just happened to you,
Hope that real soon
You'll be fixed up like new!

Dropped by to see him, but he wasn't out of theatre yet..

I waited for a while, he came out around 9PM, he'd been in three or four hours, so must have been a big enough job.
He's ok, still a bit battered from the surgery, and strapped up,, and was teaching the nurses a few new swear words every time they tried to move him.

I'm off to see a band tomorrow night, but will visit again Fri eve.
He's in Daycare on Level 2, Darent Valley, if anyone wants to go.

He's still got the same sense of humour, though, so I think the surgery hasn't been truly successful....

thanks for the update tony..........
lets hope the surgery went well and the old codger mends properly. i spoke privately to a consultant about mac's sense of humor and other than doing a bypass there really wasn't much they can do, mac did ask me to instruct frank to act on his behalf when dealing with the insurance company. he'd do a better job than mac anyways.....

I went as well, Thurs night, after visiting hours, but I have a Health Professionals badge, so I could hang around.
He was a mess when he came back from theatre:

So I left him a present!

He called me tonight so i gave him a lift home. He's safe for a discharge now, as he has regained the power to wipe his own butt.
