Oops, not clutch, carbs!! He broke some plastic bit that goes into the carbs.

Thanks carl!

Seb, you got a link to them? I've been chatting with a bloke named Doug at Yoshimura-rd.com and he's been out measuring up different Nameplates to see which will fit, and the only one that lines up is the Titanium one:

Image

Waiting on his pricing, but I stupidly mentioned after all this "Im not sure if these are Titanium, I bought them off eBay" - Since then he hasnt replied. But maybe he's off and Im just being paranoid

Loydie, I was planning on ordering repacking wool when/if I ordered the plates from Yoshi.

Cheers Martie

EDIT, Seen the links, cheers Seb. Hopefully the guy at Yoshi will hook m up with his, as they look perfect.

What you need is these brass versions made by gl_s_r - as the placcy bit that broke don't come individually or with the choke cable.
It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

A titanium sticker on ali cans?
It'll be as noticeable as carbon plastic sheet stuck on heavy plastic or metal bits.....

Today I repaired my home-made stacks, SP1 tops grafted onto Storm short ones.
I lashed them together with a splash of plastic guttering adhesive, which only lasted a few months before the occasional fuel spray backing up through the carbs has weakened.

So lots of Araldite today, and a six monthly checkup- I have the airbox off pretty often anyway- and fitted Keihin 190's mains in both carbs.

It's fuelling ok, but the plugs (Brisk) are showing it's ok but a little advanced, so i'd rather run a bit rich to avoid detonation, even though it'll use a bit more Super unleaded.....
Whatever, if you count the cost of fuel you'll sell it and buy a Hon 90 Supercub.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
