I guessed it was a Fatal when we saw the road was closed :(

probably why we didn't see much police about as they may have been tied up with that incident

Just seen this in response

Just trying to work out my mileage for the weekend- how many miles was the rideout in the end?
I had 230 on the way up, 'cause I got lost a bit....

And on the way back I went down the A14 following Jonesy as far as Ipswich, so 274 on the way back.
So 504 plus the rideout mileage....not too bad for a weekend out.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Tried to post this twice already :confused so here goes third time lucky :!:

As a new member, rider and storm owner I thoroughly enjoyed the Op Storm III weekend, made to feel really welcome by you all ,fantastic ride out on great roads with stunning scenery enhanced by a dozen storms zipping thru it with soundtrack :biggrin
Big thanks to Flatline for all his hardwork and planning to pull it off, Miztaziggy for the videos, photos and running about, Ady for the mini cultural tour of York ( happy birthday by the way) Rob and Chris as riding buddies, Grumpy Frog and Lindsey as the chuckle brothers  The oracle that is Tony and to Seb for demonstrating how to do yoga whilst riding a gixxer.
All in all a top weekend and look forward to meeting up again on the next OP
Thanks again to you all

It was about 215 miles in the end with the little detour after that accident

Not 100% sure mate, he didn't go back the planned route, and im not sure exactly which roads he took, but I think it will be roughly the same in terms of mileage.

Not sure but I would say we did about 220 miles. 510 for the weekend, 240 getting there and back and a little tour of York Sunday Morning.

After a fantastic weekend of riding last weekend which included the ride to Yorkshire via Belper, the ride out and the following ride down through Wales to Tenby, I'm all set to head home tomorrow. The planned route is Tenby, Brecon, Usk, Chepstow, Malmesbury, Devizes, Upavon, Stockbridge, Romsey and home. Really looking forward to it
