ziggy, add me to the list.
I'll be tramping down on Friday from Glasgow but heading to Stafford on Sunday so will be looking for a scenic route to there if anyone has any ideas.
Don't hassle me
I'll get there at some time

I know Glasgow well, that's a canny old run down to here.. You could try one of these routes, they keep you off m'ways and round the outside of the town centres etc..
http://goo.gl/maps/JY0IH Bridnorth is nice, some nice roads round there too.. OR

OR

http://goo.gl/maps/q91dT The road to Newtown is cracking too..

Hope that helps..

Good point Chris, need to make sure flatline knows the route!

Got a few volunteers for back mark duties with Steve97 and CheekyKev as well as Adyf, so as long as there is a leader then we can run 2 groups. If not we can go back to a single group as we always used to, so there is no worries.

We will work something out on Friday night and Saturday morning

I'll go lead or rear gunner, I'm easy but I'll be on the old faithful FireBlade :D coz the Firestorm is still broke :( not had chance to get to it with going away and one or two other things going on at the moment.
I might be going down early Friday morning to meet up with MJONESY so we can go and collect the Bench, If anyone wants to tag along for the ride let me know

Just ordered one of these http://bit.ly/19av7MJ

It's a helmet side mount for GoPro, should get some good footage now :)

Does anyone else regularly film road riding? I've only tried it for around a mile once. Are there any reasons not to film legal riding on the road?

latest status with the last min changes.

1) same camp site
2) still 2 groups
3) same route plans for both groups, with teh main spit taking place after the lunch stop in Bala
4) same kick off time for those turning up Sat Morning...........9am and please fill your tanks before then, there is a petrol stating on the main steet [ET James]
5) run leaders will be Me for the "progressive" group, and Flatline for the "leasure" group.
6) tail gunners will be decided on the morning, and can be rotated through the day. currently we have kind offers from CheekyKev, Adyf, Steve97..........so we have enough.
7) Without Geo there, I will have to remember to do a rider briefing on how the marker system works, but as I might forget please read the link Geo put in the 1st post http://vtr1000.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=25791. and dont be afraid to ask questions if you are not sure.

That sounds like a plan

Let me look into sorting a route
just checking to see if you are still coming down to meet me and Jamie at Aust on Friday, or are we stopping there for a stretch as we will not be waiting for George or Neil and then back on our way to the campsite?
