16l tank fuel economy?
Re: 16l tank fuel economy?
well ive just checked my paperwork from when i brought the bike and yes it was on a dyno the same time it had the hyperpro suspension fitted but it was done back in 2001 and god knows how much has changed over on the bike since then.
Re: 16l tank fuel economy?

Ok now this is getting upsetting lol
16l tank fuel economy?
I reckon I could get about 170 before any light came on
60 miles is shocking though. Even for a bike as uneconomical as the 'storm

Don't forget that if you have had your gearing reduced then your odometer will over read too, so some of the mielages quoted may be a bit optimistic, but yours is way wrong!
Two bikes, still only four cylinders!

Re: 16l tank fuel economy?
gearing is changed but corrected with a speedo healer and reads right compared to gps and missus following in a car. easyiest way for me to find out is a dyno so will get one done and go from there

who cares!!! keep filling it up and ride, you dont ever buy a storm for fuel economy.

missing the noise, not the vibes. However never say never!

Re: 16l tank fuel economy?
Al what was the difference at crossgates when we filled up between our bikes/riding styles
Re: 16l tank fuel economy?
it was 92miles on my clocks and i used 10.7l and you used 12.something …...and we both covered the same distance [well my back wheel did] and we must have been using the same amount of throttle asI had mine against the stop a few times, so couldn't have used it much more.lloydie wrote:Al what was the difference at crossgates when we filled up between our bikes/riding styles
the next fill up back at ludlow I noticed they were much closer in usage, but we were also at lower milage
