16l tank fuel economy?

Post by Virt »

I reckon I could get about 170 before any light came on

60 miles is shocking though. Even for a bike as uneconomical as the 'storm

Don't forget that if you have had your gearing reduced then your odometer will over read too, so some of the mielages quoted may be a bit optimistic, but yours is way wrong!
Two bikes, still only four cylinders!

gearing is changed but corrected with a speedo healer and reads right compared to gps and missus following in a car. easyiest way for me to find out is a dyno so will get one done and go from there

128-fuel light on. did 10 miles and put 13.5 litres in. 16 litre tank. mainly motorway at 70-80mph.Thats over 40mpg.So they aint that bad on fuel. My aprilia tuono was a lot worse!

it was 92miles on my clocks and i used 10.7l and you used 12.something …...and we both covered the same distance [well my back wheel did] and we must have been using the same amount of throttle asI had mine against the stop a few times, so couldn't have used it much more.

the next fill up back at ludlow I noticed they were much closer in usage, but we were also at lower milage
