I don';t follow my own advice, of course, mine is running a 15 tooth front and std rear.
Never a prob with chain life as I run a scotoiler
I have done most if not all afordable engine mods. Pipercross filter, dynojet kit, exhaust cams for inlets, scorpion cans with no baffles, quick action throttle and flo-commander. Just done valve clearances too. Took alot of messing about to get it to run smoothly,;but is now. Putting it on a dyno very soon to get new hp and torque figures, but also very fine tune with flo commander. But the bike is deffo way more responsive and powerful. I just hope the 43t rear wont be too much, well see :biggrin

ive have played with performance bits, on my Fazers i always had an Ivans jet kit, but to be honest now i dont scream the nuts out of it all day.
If your gonna spend loads to go faster, just buy a faster bike! i like the storms pull and i like the handling but love the sound 142db at 7000 last time i did my check, and thats intoxicating, Most of my mates have Gixer 1000,s(3) an R1 and a blade but they only blast past on a nice straight bit, on the roads round here the grunt of my storm is plenty. :biggrin
missing the noise, not the vibes. However never say never!
