Thanks Chaz, good to know. Mine are DPR9EIX-9 5545 Irridium, not affected thus far.

Hot erosion of the centre electrode will not cause any damage, really, it just makes the bike misfire, nothing to worry about.
Not our heat range or type anyway.

It effectively retards the ignition,as the spark has to propagate for longer before it can jump the larger gap.

Probably.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Hot erosion of the centre electrode will not cause any damage
They are probably thinking heating and running hotter or colder than they should so covering their backs.

I was expecting centre electrodes dropping into the cylinder....

SP2 is the 6588 so no problem there :thumbup:

Me too. At least they only have to worry about getting a rep for poor quality control. Imagine the damage if the center electrods had been dropping out :eek2

It's only an engine; I have others......and the other cylinder was completely undamaged.
