For those who don't know, to avoid stripping or cross threading a spark plug when fitting (it's the same principle for any thread really) try to start screwing the spark plug in for the first few turns by hand. I know you're going to say you can't reach the spark plugs by hand on the Firestorm :p but use your hand on the end of the tool kit plug spanner first. That way if you feel the spark plug go tight meaning you may have got it cross threaded you can undo it and start again. If you use a spanner straight off on the end of the tool kit plug spanner and it suddenly goes tight on the first few turns, you will have will have most likely damaged the threads 8O which will not be easy to repair.

I always locate it then turn it anticlockwise till I feel the start of the thread then I know it's good to be threaded in :-)

Use your Honda tool kit plug socket which will fit over the large nut section of the plug you will need a socket & extension on the end of that. Advice loosely offer it into the plug hole & finger turn it to locate the threads properly. Tighten it finger tight then torque it to 14 Nm or 10.32 Ftp. Add some high heat resistant grease to the plug thread as this will aid removal next time.

Spot on Chris.

Virt you are a funny fucjer   I always put a smear of copper slip around the plug thread. And don't overtighten them, they only need nipping up.
