Front end swap Questions

Post by Acidicall »

Ok so i am doing many different things to the storm at the moment; R1 tail conversion, rear suspension upgrade, bodywork etc. Also i am swapping the front end for a firebade 929 as i have seen it done on here somwhere!! i have the yolks, forks, front wheeln calipiers etc (from 929). My question is will i need to change the Master brake cyclinder to a 929 or keep the storms? or if i have to swap it should i go to a 929 or is there a better one available for the 929 calipiers?

I think you'll need to use a CBR600RR m/cyl but I'm not 100% on that. There's a chart floating about somewhere with all of the m/c and caliper specs so you can check the best pair to use, I can't remember where to find it though :/

There's also a great and very useful chart on the Superhawk forum.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Thanks guys I did see the chart but I didn't really understand it!! I can get hold of a fireblade 929 brake cylinder and I know that will work! But if I am going through all this hassle I might as well get the best I can get!!
