Shims

Post by Storm Trooper »

Anybody got a 9.48 dia 207 valve shim. Only 1 required. Front cylinder inlet clearance a bit tight on one inlet.

.5 between 2 front inlets :eek2

0.1 on left hand inlet and 0.15 on the right inletr. Shim on left hand was a 212, so need a 207 to set them even, within tolerance.

Found some shims off a spare engine I broke so luckily had a 205 shim, which brings it within tolerance.

Seems that shims are in 0.05 increments, but you can get in 0.025 if special ordered.

0.05 would take you from the min to the max, so not very much tolerance if you are a either end.

Inlet clearance now at 0.15 :D
