Re: The Old Me
I've dropped another 5kg since this was taken.
Thats it though. I'm spent. Happy to maintain 95-97kg for my frame.

Fookin hell...well done that's a lot of weight loss. I'm sure you feel a lot better for it. Has your son done the same.

Wow done
Re: The Old Me
Good job
Re: The Old Me
I have the feeling this could be an inspiration for a few on here. So what was your regime. Any specific diet? looks like you have been combining it with fitness as well. Even on your forearms it's noticeable. Did you do some weights to build some muscle back up and for want of a better word get rid of the flabbyness from weight loss.

Re: The Old Me
Thanks all.
I didnt post it as a look at me I'm bloody awesome post but I appreciate the support
Its been a bit over 12 months since we started. Actually we filmed the final on 10 April 2013.
My son has turned into a gym junkie. He's now into "clean" body building and has bulked up huge as a 24yr old can easily do
My "secret" was to be honest and dedicated. But really there is no secret to weight loss. It comes down to expending more energy than you're consuming. Yep its as simple as that.
Its true i was locked away with the country's best trainers and medico's (10 weeks in our case) but we still had to cook for ourselves and do the work. I lost about half the weight on the show and the other half over the next 9 months at home.
I go to the gym 3 times a week and exersise at home by walking or cycling on the weekends. I rarely sit on my butt watching tv. I rarely drink and I dont smoke and my kids have left home so meals for the two of us are easy.
I'm happy to start a new thread if people want specific tips or info but seriously if you consume less than you expend you will lose weight.
Losing 30% weight is the greatest performance upgrade you can do for your bike ........................ and sex life
PM me if you have a question you dont want made public. I'm happy to answer whatever I can.
Thanks again guys

Re: The Old Me
I really need a kick up the butt to get in shape. Not overweight but have a pot belly I'd like rid of and not particularly unfit but not fit Stopped doing Taekwondo about 8 year ago and know I was way fitter then! Bought a decent mountain bike a couple of years ago and rode it twice . Work long hours but that's no excuse, just seem to have become bone idle and in a rut . Very well done on your achievement mate
SH#T HAPPENS!!!!!!!!
