By all accounts around 45mpg, although I'll find out for certain soon. 250 ish range though.

As far as more modern, I would only buy a honda, and the next thing on is a Crosstourer, about £12,000. Mine cost me under £3k, with 14000 on the clock. No brainer really. ( Actually stands me in £2700, as it had some extras on that I didnt want, and I sold them )
