Post by Watty »

Can anyone tell me the best place to buy these to fit Harris links? Need them bloody quick  . As you can probably see from my "exhaust symmetry"" post I've had my cans on and off more than a whores knickers and in the process buggered the seals :( , I'm really having a shite day  . 2weeks to the tt and not finished yet :wtf: . Cheers, Watty

You can't of bust up the old ones that much. Just shove a load of silicone around them.

Any high temperature or exhaust silicone
http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_sacat ... ant&_frs=1

Just make sure you get the right colour. I had some Wurth stuff once and got a shock when it was Red  My mistake for not checking first.

I must have been sleeping under a rock for the last 20 years. Is that why they call me rip-van-winkle.

Thanks Carl, I like to learn one new thing every day. This is the ONE for today.

I guess it would not work that well where the exhaust pipe meets the cyl head, but ok where the silencers attach.
Cheers

There's an incredible amount heat closer to the head, at least 800°c, but I have got away with using it around there to help seal things up.
