Fuel tank pipes

I seem to have a pipe missing does anyone know where it goes to, I have 2 large pipes one either side of the fuel tap which take fuel to the carbs and a vac pipe on the fuel tap then I have 2 other pipes which go to the tank 1 which looks like it has a small filter on it and then another one next to that its that what is missing, anyone know where it goes to from the tank, Thanks again

I used to think it was a one way breather valve but I stripped it down to check and it is in fact nothing accept a reducer. One pipe is a breather and the other is an overflow. They both run from the tank and along the left side of the frame following the main wiring harness and then hang down around the front of the generator cover just behind the oil cooler pipe. It's a good idea to put a cable tie around the oil cooler pipe to feed them through and hold them in place, but don't pull the cable tie tight as to constrict the lines coming down or you will have problems. I trimmed mine a little shorter and a cut them at an angle to help prevent clogging with road grime. Note the coolant overflow form the expansion bottle also ends up there.

Hows it coming along Lee you must be almost completed. A bit like getting to the end of a jigsaw. We need pics it also gives us the opportunity to spot anything that don't look quite right or may be out of place and point them out to you.

Hi Carl, Getting there it is like a jig saw when you get near the end and there are pieces missing, but getting there now about another week and I will get some pictures posted

just remember to start with the 4 corners and then the edges.....
