Switching odo / trip km to miles?

Post by Mlsp »

I've got a 2001 Faired Honda Hornet 600. I bought it a few days ago.
I think it has the same clocks as the Firestorm.
The trip / odo are reading in km. And idea if I can change them to miles? Google doesn't seem to know for once.

I hope it's ok asking here. This seems like a great forum. I realise it's not about a FireStorm but I think the parts are the same. I did search but I can't find anything on this specifically.

Many thanks.

These are firestorm clocks, I very much doubt you have either but if you do then I'm pretty sure they can't be switched over. I've been looking how to do it on late model clocks since I bought mine.

Interesting; thank you.

They look the same as the Gen 1 clocks. The facias are different but I think the externals and internals are the same.

I can't find any way to switch them either.

If this works, here are the Hornet ones:

I've never seen those clocks on a hornet before...weird. I swear I've seen similar aged ones too! Maybe I'm just an idiot (no comments please  )

Just think about how well you'll learn the Km to miles conversion now!

I had the same problem. Finally got an MPH speedo face off lloydie  so i could read the mph at night. but the millage I doubt is changeable. If it is I'm sure it would reset the millage on the bike as well.

My bike read in MPH but being more up to date here we are in KPH.

I just fitted a healer now 100 mph is 100 Kph. Easy calculation to do.

I dont care about my odometer as im never selling the bike.
