Limp and sloppy, if wet, firm and flinty, with woody overtones.

The standard shock only has very basic adjustment, so twist it a bit one way,see if you prefer it, if not, try the other way, if no better leave it alone.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

Scary pics those, but hopefully gets the message out :eek2 Make it a yearly thing to do... re-grease the suspension linkages especially if the bike is rode in all weathers all year around. It also give you the chance to also get right in there and clean up the rear of the engine polish rear downpipe etc.

Here is the state of my "bearings". Looks like I'll be doing more than a simple re-grease :eh:

And once the in an operable condition with new bearings if required, then re-grease on a yearly basis so they don't end up back like it again is what I mean.

A bit of a horror show, with the rear suspension pictures on here & the facebook group. Some of the parts can be modded with grease nipples. But others can only be sorted by stripping & servicing 8O :?

Chric I really hope '' alot of soaking in penatrating oil was needed'' that's not all he did !
If he did it wont last long before your squeak will be back.

Concerned of Grain.
