Under seat?

Post by NZSpokes »

Has anybody cut out or modded the black tray under the seat? Looks to be a stack of room under it that could be used for storage. Well on mine as it has an aftermarket undertray.

What im thinking is to just cut it out after the little rise after the battery and line the top of the undertray. Maybe with a thin stick on rubber.

Or is this another one of my stupid ideas?

Thats why I was thinking of a rubber liner. How much bigger did it make it? Would like to fit a couple of small drink bottles and maybe a small jacket.

I was thinking the same thing once I fit my undertray. I was thinking of maybe using some foam liner a bit like the type you get in camera cases and cut out custom sections to fit whatever I decide to stow away.

I haven't any for a change .
Oh you will also need to make up some brackets to strengthen the undertray as it's only held on by the little plastic tabs

Me too  I must get around to fitting mine sometime
They normally do give you more space under the seat NZSpokes with parts of the standard tray removed. So not a stupid idea at all
