Post by VTRMED »

Looking forward to nice run up to the Lakes tomorrow to visit family & friendsin my hometown of Keswick and Buttermere. Praying for sunny weather but will go prepared as it ain't called the Lakes for nothing! It will be my first decent run out on my storm since I got it so looking forward to it. :)

Hmmm beginning to wish I'd decided against visiting my family in The Lakes on that fateful day -
Result ! 1 written off Storm.
10 day hospital stay.
Shattered collar bone.
Severe Concussion.
Broken ribs.
Broken hip.
Split tendons in thumb & pinky finger.
Knackered leathers, helmet, gloves and tailpack which was the cause off the off when the bungees split!
Long time off work and bored already....But not having my storm is the most upsetting!
Ahh well sh1t happens at least I live to ride again (12months or so?)

Please check your luggage when riding folks! and be safe.

As has been said the second member in the last couple of weeks to have an off and hospital stay. Good to hear your still with us. By the sounds of it things could have easily been worse. Take it easy, rest up, fix your body and mind then worry about the Storm. They are still cheap bikes to buy so you will have no worries finding a replacement if needs be.

that's terrible news buddy, good luck with the recovery, the human body is an amazing thing, you'll be itching to get back on a bike in no time, it will spur you on to work hard at your physio rehab, read all the bike mags and keep in the loop....
