turn on ignition and the gpi fires up and starts to go thru the sequence of 1 to 6.
but it's all down to timing.....![]()
as soon as the number 1 appears you have to turn off the ignition
it's the same for all the numbers. 123456.
when you get to 5 and 6 the timing of turning off the ignition gets tricky.
but once the ignition is turned off on each of the numbers the system resets itself......![]()
I will have another go at setting it up tomorrow, i'll get it right this time.....I hope.....

Not a straight swap but can be made to work. New wiring plug and working out which wire is what and re connecting up. You need the later Temp sender unit for an accurate temp gauge and also a fuel tank float rather than the sender unit. The float will take some manipulation to work accurately in the earlier 16l tank.Now will this dash fit a 98 model
