turn on ignition and the gpi fires up and starts to go thru the sequence of 1 to 6.
but it's all down to timing..... :eek2
as soon as the number 1 appears you have to turn off the ignition
it's the same for all the numbers. 123456.
when you get to 5 and 6 the timing of turning off the ignition gets tricky.
but once the ignition is turned off on each of the numbers the system resets itself......
I will have another go at setting it up tomorrow, i'll get it right this time.....I hope.....
I didn't say anything. I just goggled it, found it,copy & past to here, about 2 mins searching...

How long were you looking for it online ?
I have a severe lack of patients (hence i'm not a doctor ba boom tish!!!)
I looked for about 15mins mate.... :(
glad it's all sorted, I just have to torque up the front wheel spindle before the mot, after the mot I will try to re programme the gpi...

Not a straight swap but can be made to work. New wiring plug and working out which wire is what and re connecting up. You need the later Temp sender unit for an accurate temp gauge and also a fuel tank float rather than the sender unit. The float will take some manipulation to work accurately in the earlier 16l tank.
