The Haynes manual lead me to believe the lift was the same for both engines because it only stated two measurements for inlet @ (40.080 - 40,240) & exhaust @ (39.780).
The lift stated in the Haynes is only the VTR cams lift.
I didn't realise this till after the swap was complete

I feel am taking a risk by only running the single valve spring that the Varadero is fitted with Std. But the rev limit is lower so hopefully I will not encounter valve bounce.
The measurements are taken from the removed Varadero cams (15,000 miles) & a spare set of VTR cams (unknown mileage) from a spare head I have.
Varadero cam lobe diameter --- Inlet----- 38.85mm
--------------------------------------- Exhaust- 38.85mm
Varadero base circle diameter - Inlet----- 30.00mm
--------------------------------------- Exhaust- 30.20mm
VTR cam lobe diameter --------- Inlet---- 40.20mm
-------------------------------------- Exhaust- 40.30mm
VTR base circle diameter ------- Inlet---- 30.20mm
-------------------------------------- Exhaust- 30.40mm
I know this is of no use to the majority of Firestorm owners, but I though because its had not been posted on the forum it might be of some interest.
