Looks good BTW apart from the blueness of course...
I read somewhere you can fill the bars with silicon and it helps ?

Fantastic job done to the fairing, looks original.

Sorry to hear of your yoke issues. Was that CNC coolncomfy firm by any chance. I have heard bad reports before on their customer service and production rates being extremely slow.

i have heavy R&G bar end weights fitted and that is a big help but you can also make up a weighted plug to force fit into the bars under the grips. some lead shot and slicon mixed up could work

CNC are either perfect or a nightmare, which is a massive shame as the actual quality of their stuff is great, once and maybe if, you actually get it.
yip, vibes can be a bit of a pain, but can be sorted as above, play around with different grips also. Looks like you have renthal soft ones on, I'm needing to change mine as find them a bit too thin and hard.

nice job of the fairing BTW
Don't hassle me
I'll get there at some time

the vtr has a lot of vibes compared to IL4s so if you didn't spend too much time with the bike in standard form you didn't get the chance to get used to it. I don't find the flat bars any different from vibe point of view to the clipons

Bikes now in bits again :(

Failed MOT, as 2mm away from full lock on steering.

Fairing has gone off to have another 10mm removed and whilst that is being done, I am changing to Fat Bars and losing the Renthal Grips for softer Prolites.

Also gonna do the hoses again and fit a smaller brake fluid reservoir.

Mmm that must mean there is a specified limited. I thought as long as it did not touch the tank one was good to go.

It has to make contact with the bikes frame or otherwise designed stop, if different, without touching anything else, like the fairing...he said !

a common mod to this is where possible cut a thread on the post and fit a nut on. Another bodge !!!!!, is to force a nut on.
The stop must hit before any other part on the bike on a full lock.Hence banging a nut on and that becomes your stop.

Nice job with the bar conversion  your bike looks great.

Unlucky with the mot bit, but I'm sure you'll get there. It'll be interesting to hear what you think of the flat bars in comparision of what you did have (ultra low),

On my trail bike I used stick on wheel weights. Works a treat. Just clean the fork or frame before you stick them on.

Saved mt tank a few times now, Im not good at staying connected to my trail bike.

The LSL Fatbar risers arrived and I set about taking off the Renthal Ultra low. Rode it around and loved them...then...

The fairing came back from it's second chopping session :(

No way the Fatbars are gonna work, they are a good 100mm too high...dammit !! Back to the Ultra Low bars which now fit perfectly, so should MOT ok when next due :)

The FatBars looked nicer and had way less buzz in them, so I am gutted ... but it is time to just get on and ride the thing now.

Changed out the Renthal Grips and bar ends , now got the R&G Heavy Bar ends and PRO Grip grips, look better and more comfy by a mile.

Bought some mirror exstensions from the fella on the forum, but they didn't fit , nevvermind, I think they would have looked wierd anyway.

So, bring on this Cornwall meet  , as long as there is no major shooting comp on that weekend, I will be along for the ride :)
