Worked a fix for the electric roller doors in my new garage, as previous owner had put the remote into storage with all his other stuff :?

Wired an old horn button in as it wanted a normally open switch to fire it up and down.... Happy days

Humans!

The leak on the Ducati was a small split in the oil cooler. Rad shop couldn't repair it. Local dealer.. "that will be £253 sir but we dont have one. Ducati UK don't have one either and even if Italy have one (they may not) it's likely to take months". Found a couple of tatty ones in the states on eBay but, oh the aggro.

Moaned on a Ducati forum and had a message "I've got one on the shelf, taking up room, yours for a good bottle of Chablis". I kid you not. Chablis! What's the world coming to?

Anyway, result!

Finally managed to do a track day this year! Oulton Park, wet to begin with (lots of movement from the tyres and a couple of front-end slides 8O ) but it dried out slowly. The last two sessions were near enough bone dry with a few damp patches, nothing to cause any issues though once the tyres got all hot and sticky, was proper in my rhythm by then too. First time in inters, loved it.

Plus, Ian Hutchinson turned up with the PBM guys and did a session in the fast group, absolutely annihilated everyone. He then did a few laps in an inters session and came flying by me (and 3 others), so I've shared track time with Hutchy, we're basically best mates...

clutch slipping is gone, cleaned clutch and new semi synth oil. Another proof that full synth oil is not suitable for these old clutch plates. Switched from Silkolene Pro4 to Comp4 and all is good.
