I have no idea to be honest.

i had rocker cover off, checked timing, new plugs and gave the chain a clean, went out for bike night but didnt sit at a constant speed, then it dumped the oil out the rocker cover so new bolt and oil and now apparently its fine soo im guessing plugs :D

You should have taken notice of what I said, it might have saved you a month of pain

Getting back to the O/P question. If you're not sure how many miles the iridium plugs have done it might be worth trying a new set, clutching at straws I know  but for what it costs it might be worth a try.

Out of interest how many miles has the bike done :?:

Chris.
Glad you've fixed it, well done

Hi
I think I'm having the same problem with this "surging"
Went for a ride today and occasionally the bike felt like the brakes had been applied.... it momentarily seemed to slow, so much i kept sliding forwards. Then it would go.
It's not like letting the throttle off or slamming it shut.
My bike is completely standard except manual ccts and a tps setting of 505 ohm.
I have some new plugs that I will fit tomorrow (if it doesn't rain).
Is there any thing else to check?

Thanks

Roger
