I have no idea to be honest.

i had rocker cover off, checked timing, new plugs and gave the chain a clean, went out for bike night but didnt sit at a constant speed, then it dumped the oil out the rocker cover so new bolt and oil and now apparently its fine soo im guessing plugs

You should have taken notice of what I said, it might have saved you a month of pain

Getting back to the O/P question. If you're not sure how many miles the iridium plugs have done it might be worth trying a new set, clutching at straws I know but for what it costs it might be worth a try.

Out of interest how many miles has the bike done

I think I'm having the same problem with this "surging"
Went for a ride today and occasionally the bike felt like the brakes had been applied.... it momentarily seemed to slow, so much i kept sliding forwards. Then it would go.
It's not like letting the throttle off or slamming it shut.
My bike is completely standard except manual ccts and a tps setting of 505 ohm.
I have some new plugs that I will fit tomorrow (if it doesn't rain).
Is there any thing else to check?
