im thinking i want one of these bad boys. apart from the fact i dont own a bank whats the easiest way of
A. finding a damper

B. more importantly finding a fitting kit.

iv VFR 800 bars fitted if that makes any difference but can any other honda fitting kit be used? cant find any for a storm.?

i see the whole bolting to the forks bit Matt but whereabouts do you bolt the other bit?. is there a clamp onto the frame? or is the frame drilled to take the other end?

On the fork mount dampers 1 end clamps forks the other end picks up a frame bolt .
The 916 style damper needs a fitting kit from the 2 tank mount bolts and yoke bolt I'll try and take a pic

I have the "down the side of the frame" sprint damper. the frame fixing is using one of the existing mointing lugs above the radiator [you need a 2nd rose joint there]

I will send you a picture if you need one

You can always get a GPR V4 stabilizer. I picked mine up for next to nothing, because it was leaking. Turns out that GPR rebuilds thier V4 stabilizers for free 8)

I love this stabilizer, because it it very easy to change from 0 to 20, even with gloves on. I like to put it at ~15 on the highway and when I get to city side streets, I change it to ~5.

I had a very bad accident because of tank slap, so every bike I own will have a steering stabilizer. Even though I was told that many bikes don't even need them. It just feels good knowing that there is something there preventing a tank slapper from happening.

Why do you need stabilizers on VTRs? Mine is uber stable.
