Everyday is a Birthday for you Mac :biggrin to be fair what they spend on the flypast is minimal in comparison to what they spend on ongoing operations. All these eyes in the sky cost a fortune even plods helicopter, that's something like £2,500 an hour to run  Still for what it does, it's cheaper than employing more plod on the street. The next thing will be to get rid of them and have drones, even cheaper still.
"stupidly with Americans showing nuclear force" ??
Sorry wicky I cant find the bloody link. I keep searching for it and all I keep getting is the USS Cook incident with the low flying Mig's which has flooded the net. But there was an incident a couple of months back where the USS accidentally opening a missile door or something which showed as as act of force to the Russians. It may have even been the Cook. It's basically turning into a tit for tat situation again. Why we have to be involved with anything in Russian territory like the Baltic I don't know, it's obviously going to stir things in the same way as them entering our territory.

Nice cans. Do you think it will pass the decibel test at Brands

Baltics aren't Russian territory (they were up until the 90s but they aren't now) - they are now members of NATO and EU since 2004.

Russia has been holding increasingly frequent snap military drills near its eastern European neighbours, not to mention overflights and naval exercises in the Baltic Sea.

and Sweden is having to deal with Russian aggression

Military chiefs are still embarrassed by the 2013 "Russian Easter" incident, when six Russian aircraft carried out a simulated attack on Stockholm.
