Re: What's scared the living crap out of you today ?.
you have to do what's right for you lloydie.
but unless piggy gets some decent offers i'd put her in the garage, maybe even strip it down for the other engine, that way you won't be tempted for a quick ride.
I had 11yrs away from biking, admittedly I was on 9 points at the start of my time off, but I couldn't shake the bug and came back. biking is in your blood and always will be.
if you do take some time off, don't be a stranger mate.

Agree roads arent safe, but give it time before making rash decisions.
Do what I did Lloydie and spend all your time on track days keeping road biking to a minimum, just group rides VTR meets.

Just lock it up in the garage for 6 months and have a break until you get the bug again. The thing is once that bottle goes it slows one down for a while but then as confidence builds the madness creeps back in. The way I see it is that I could just as easily drop dead of a heart attack or get run over by bus. Life is full of risks.
Fully agree with Carl.I've been riding since i got my licence in 1962 and had many offs and accidents in that time. You probably will regret selling the bike.Biking gets in your blood. But it's your decision.
SO WHEN DOES THIS OLD ENOUGH TO KNOW BETTER KICK IN
Re: What's scared the living crap out of you today ?.
sh1t one Lloyd, deadly repercussions can happen from doing anything though. If you do want to quit that's your decision, but incidents can occur anywhere and everywhere...
Glad you're okay though! If you do carry on with the sale don't be a stranger, we still need someone to chat constant sh1t

Good to know your are safe and that you have taken measures to address the "self preservation". Only you know what those measures need to be
ever thought of.....
Keep your bike and stick to the track days. No badgers, pot holes, things coming the other way etc....and all the right facilities if you do bin it

Just read this - just had to say I'm glad you're ok Loyd. That would s**t anyone up.
Must agree with others, keep her in the garage - she's had enough blood, sweat and tears from you.
You may regret giving her up and a future of fun track days may just be what you want.
Hope the crash memories are weakening mate.
(and as already said, don't leave the forum, your "unique" humour would be greatly missed by all!!)

Well, I've got respect your feelings, obviously it's your decision at the end of the day.
Just one quick question though.
When you penetrated the Badger, did you go in dry?

Lloydie if your going to give up biking you can always join the nunnery close to where you live ,they appear to be one short, she was last seen praying in the middle of a road three or four days ago........you sure it was a badger?
