It's horribly standard- loads of work to do to make it worth riding.
Low mileage I suppose, but why didn't the owner want to ride it?
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

It's silver  I would take a guess that the owner was put off by the size of the petrol tank and  It would be a good bike for a collector who wants clean and standard otherwise like you say Tony a lot of work. I would at least want some good aftermarket cans on it and uprated suspension for that price.

At the end of the day it's only worth what someone want's to pay for it, or any bike for that matter. If their mad enough to pay what his asking then good luck to him & more fool them. As for Duffy's bike it's as you said a late model so a different kettle of fish.

Pimms ? Ya girly poofta...

Took the words right out my mouth there. I was just about to say that. I paid 1800 for mine with 8000 on the clock and it wasn't as mint as this one, but then I was desperate for a bike and there where no bargains around at the time local enough. It swings and roundaboubts with bike prices. They do seem to be creeping up with the VTR recently. Not sure why. Maybe folk think they are a classic. Keep ours another 20 years and they may cost as much as older 2 strokes cost now :P Anyone want to buy a Black VTR for £50,000
