Just look at how someone with Altimeters or Parkinsons suffers. They have no choice or control over that. Even Bipolar or Schizophrenia there is no no way to control extreme conditions without some brain altering drug.
The problem here is that because it's mostly something that is not physically seen like a broken leg for example, peoples attitudes are different which is the whole point of days like this. To bring peoples awareness to it and change peoples attitudes in the same way that homosexuality or woman's rights is now accepted.
