GBM your funny money is still leagle tender darn south so no worries there...You may get the odd funny look when trying to spend it but it's still worth the same...

Custard Crumble came home after the enforced holiday...

Few bits to do to get it up & running...1x indi, sort the clip on out, sort the crack in the fairing out & check to see if any other hidden damage...

Re: Whats cheered you up today...?
Actually, erm....it's not, and never has been! I used to say to shop people in England (when down there trying to start another rebellion) was that if the note has ''sterling'' on it, thern we could use them, and a shop HAD to take them. But, they don't.MacV2 wrote:GBM your funny money is still legal tender darn south so no worries there...
2 things below. The 1st is from the Bank of England (BoE) (full page: Bank of England FAQs)
BoE: Are Scottish & Northern Ireland banknotes "legal tender"?
In short ‘No’ these banknotes are not "legal tender"; furthermore, Bank of England banknotes are only legal tender in England and Wales.
The next is from the Committe of Scottish Bankers (full page: Scottish Bank Notes - Legal Position)
BoS: The legal position with regard to Scottish Banknotes is as follows:
Scottish Banknotes are legal currency – i.e. they are approved by the UK Parliament. However, Scottish Bank notes are not Legal Tender, not even in Scotland. In fact, no banknote whatsoever (including Bank of England notes!) qualifies for the term 'legal tender' north of the border....
-------
Bizarre huh!? That means that we (as in shops n traders) could refuse English money as well and say the same back to the two-wrists ''not legal tender mate!''
Oh yeah - I call them Two-Wrists. It sounds the same when spoken, but the meaning is...well...relating to the self pleasuring brigade. (I got the idea for the name from the 2 Ronnies ''4 Candles'' sketch)
But, as it later states, we seem to manage just fine with trading the notes' for goods and the economy hasn't gone belly up yet.
I thought that with all the Referendum crap that went before, and this Brexit doodah stuff, that many more folk darn sarf would turn the note away if I sent it to Tony, so said I'd make it easier and send a BoE one. But, as the tourist season has ended, the majority of English notes have been returned via the banks....although there will be the odd few still kicking about in peoples wallets. I just have to get one.
OK. Edyukayshun over. As you were Chaps.

Gbm- it sounds like it's going to be easier to just post it to you and send me a two wrist tenner when there's one in stock.
Let me have the address and I'll post.

Re: Whats cheered you up today...?
I missed the replies to this (I'm STILL working my way through the posts I missed when I was AWOL). There's loads left to go.
If Macs account is still the same, then I'll fire the funds into that, and then he can print out a decent quality tenner and post it to you. I was out on de bike again today, and in 5 shops - no-one had a Hinglish one - so, sod it thinks I, I'll pay into Meester Macs Swiss bank account. Rather presumptuous of me huh Mr Mac'.?
Anyhoo - What's Cheered Me Up Today??
Was out on de bike, roads are totally clarted up here everywhere y'go. Salt, mud, leaves, you name it. The bike was clean when I set off, but when I came home, it looked like I'd done the Paris Dakar and half ''The Long Way Round'' on it. The whole bike looking as though it's been powdercoated gray and brown.
Spent more time cleaning the crud off than I did riding it. HATE this time of year, especially when you try to keep stuff clean.
Fingers raw, day-light long gone, rode it to lock up and, suitably cold, wet, n' pissed off, went to get a sandwich from TESCO.
Spotted some reduced beer and thought ''that's gotta be wrong''. 15 cans of Tennents lager for £4.50 ?
Normally the price is (on offer) at £9.50 for 15.
I had a closer look - just ONE CAN missing, but didn't appear so at first glance. Half a roll of sellotape holding the pack together. The lass said it sprayed all inside the packaging, and they can't be sure how many more cans are leaking. (It was dropped out of the truck)
Bought the 14 tins, just rinsed all the sprayed beer off, and nothing else burst. All 14 tins a-ok: for £4.50. HAPPY BUNNY!
So, no prizes for guessing what I'm having for tea tonight!
Every cloud has a silver ring-pull
