Front CCT access

Post by jchesshyre »

Does anyone have any nifty method for being able to adjust the front CCT considering that the coolant hose blocks access to it? Or do I need to remove the tank, airbox etc?

That depends on how small and agile you are. :biggrin

My hands are fairly small and definitely agile, but the spanners I'm using aren't...

I'd be able to reach the plunger quite easily but not the locknut. On my MCCTs (see this thread http://vtr1000.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=39627) the locknut is 18mm!

Use slightly angled ring spanners and push the hose out of the way.
And do it with the engine warm not hot.
