Went to my local bike shop today for a chat and biscuits and was met with sad faces.A very good friend of mine that worked there was killed on Monday on the A5 at Caddington,Bedford.Evidently a woman was parked at the side of the road and decided to do a U turn. You can guess the rest.He died at the scene.I had known this man for many years and he NEVER,EVER rode without protective clothing and i have been given the honour to be one of the marshalls at his funeral.Makes you think how vulnerable to idiot car drivers and " sorry mate i didn't see you " is no compensation.RIP Jed

SO WHEN DOES THIS OLD ENOUGH TO KNOW BETTER KICK IN
Thoughts with you mate. Life is a knife edge and can be taken away so fast. Rememberer the good times and try to move forward. Sometimes I think it's easier to care less about others and close the circles. Let them in and you get hurt. The problem is we are human and need companionship or do we.
Thanks for comments. Bit close to home that one. I am 70 yrs old and it makes you wonder is it time to hang the leathers up. I think I'll stay off the bike for a little while and see how I feel.
