Don't know, but I would expect so.
If Honda calculated the optimum taper they will keep using it.

Just debating whether to get mine lightens or fit sp1 flywheel as it's supposed to be lighter can pick up an sp1 flywheel for £25

Will the timing marks on the SP's be the same as the VTR's?

iv been looking online and the sp flywheels iv seen have some sorta pickups running around the outside of the basket so at the very least those would need removed??

Not sure on the taper, never tried, because the rest of it will not work with VTR.
Not the timing marks, not the stator, not the ignition pick up.

Could all that be modified and made to work? Perhaps, but of you have that level and capability of design and fabrication, you could make your own flywheel from scratch.

Or, have a stocker lightened. And spend an hour in the garage swapping them out..back on the road riding.
