Track days 2019
Re: Track days 2019
I would love to try oulton park, it has to be done next yr.
Stu, you will surprise yourself, your road skills are smooth and you read the corners well so I think you will be good on track

Island bend is fantastic, in a simiar vien to turn one at Cadwell. Clay Hill is one of those hold your breath and don't shut your eyes corners. It's a great track.
I couldn't agree more. Smooth road skills will have you passing most inexperienced riders in the lower group and some others in the inters. Most new to track days go for the nail it-stop-nail it approach, me included. As you get into it you'll find yourself slipping past them on the way into corners.

Nice video Stu, your Storm is going well, and sounding goodStuartWags wrote: ↑Thu Nov 22, 2018 9:27 pm I agree. For me it is a ride without the usual road worries. A release to just think about you and your riding. Lap time don't matter, you will not be the fastest. The road bike only sessions are a good point of entry as they tend to be a bit more of an introduction. But you will learn more on a track day.
Me in inters track day, getting a bit bogged down in traffic and hustling an 07 blade with loads more horses than me. Exit pits at 3.00 mins

Out of interest what video camera are you using

Chris.

GoPro hero session. Might be a 5, I know i did not run on the highest resolution
Re: Track days 2019
Planning on Knockhill for first one next year once bike is finished. It's closest to home so will be a shake down test.
Then hopefully get to Oulton as I love it there. Possibly Caldwell too.

I have booked Donnington in Jul & Cadwell in Sept with Classic Bike Track Days. They have just changed the entry age to allow @Storms in (Up to 2000 but said that any Storm is OK as there's nothing massively different from first to last model.)

Had the weekend at Cadwell - nice to meet you freerideNick!
Bloody technical track, took me all day Saturday to get my head around it, Sunday was great, bike was better (more on that in Workshop).
I did try to stick with Nick....... but that didn't happen
