So one of my first posts (years ago) was about fitting a go-pro to my helmet.
It worked well, footage was excellent, but it added weight and looked quite bulky.
Fitting it with clamps to wing mirror or fairing led to too much vibration in the footage.
I heard of mobius sports cameras from looking at drones, so got one.
Also an extension cable to the lens can be mounted outside of the main (battery/processor) unit.
But where to locate???????
Pilot light at front of Storm is of little use,
So I got some spares from Mac and took to crudely cutting with my Aldi "dremel".
Siliconed the hell out of the contact points to make waterproof.
Main unit will sit hidden to side of instrument panel with a cable to my USB charger for power.
Not used yet (bike currently blocked in by scaffolding) but will hopefully be able to in a few weeks!

Re: Front mounted video
That's an idea although you may have to put the position light back for it's mot.
I have an SJCAM at last, like your self struggling to find a suitable mounting position on the bike and don't really want it mounted on the crash helmet as you mention,
Chris.

Re: Front mounted video
Good thinking there. I've always wondered how people get rid of wind noise on the bike
If you don't try you never know if you can do it.

That's an amazing idea...
