Wooden rear brake
Wooden rear brake
Foe those of you that use it, any hints on how to improve it, It doesnt help the handling when I have to stand on it to get any effect! Changed the pads, serviced the calipers ,etc, etc, etc

New hose, Service the master cylinder?
Not much left. The most common is a build up of crud around the piston seals which stops them from moving back properly but that doesn't give you shite braking, just poor braking and binding brakes
What's the condition of your disc like? If it's got ridges it will take a little time for the pads to bed in

Has your bike down loads of miles
If it has the pin on the end of the front bolt (caliper fixing bolts) which allows part of the caliper to float may be badly worn, if it is the pad(s) may not be touching the disc square on
To check this apply the rear brake by hand and see if all of the pad surface is actually touching the disc
