Bought a FIRESTORM at the start of the Summer. It came with new shoes a PIRELLI GTS on the front and a Dunlop D204 on the Rear. Don't ask me why they were different makes. Have done 3k miles and both are dead! Front is now V shapped but has about 500 left but the rear is generally treadless.
Are these normal wear rates?
I thought both these tyres were Sports Touring?
Given these wear rates I would like to stick to Sports Touring rubber.
Any recommendations concerning make? AVON, BRIDGESTONE, DUNLOP, PIRELLI.

RE TYRES
You could try a pirelli gts on the rear & an evo corsa on the front
that would be a good compromise between wear & grip,
these work pretty well in both the wet or dry
or you could stick with the OE reccomended dunlop 204
they should last long enough.

I got nearly 5k out of a Bridgstone 010 front and 020 rear. They were still legal when I changed them but only just. They are bloody expensive though at well over £200 for the pair!
Picked up a set of Metzeler MEZ3's last week for £146 and am happy with them. The GTS's are good tyres, excellent in the wet. Didn't try then with the softer front though. The GTS front wore more on the sides than the front so became a bit unstable when leaning the bike over.
One of my mates used to run the above Pirelli combo. on his SP1 and seemed happy with the grip and wear.
