I have this problem...

Post by VTRgirl »

I keep getting picked up by married men. I don't know why, but I've got at least one new one every week giving it a shot. I'm not interested in married men. I've never been there, nor do I intend to. It's frustrating the hell out of me. It's either married men or jerks or married jerks. No suitable singles. What's going on?

Okay, so in the wee small hours of work this morning, I was persuaded to give my number to a 19 year old patient... but seriously, what is WITH the married guys?

Any of you lot who are married & also shopping elsewhere, pleeeeeease, STOP. Grow yourself some morals & get your act together.. and tell me what I'm doing wrong!

lol! thats the most relavent post ive seen alll week!

Whats MUCH worse is girls who complain thats theres no decent "gentlemen" out there and then moan when their violent bf generally treats them like shite!

As for having 19yr olds ask for your number, thats definatly a compliment despite the fact you would or would not get with them! Its like being approached by a gay man, it may not be your cuppa tea but its still a compliment to a certain degree!

god knows what its like to have some married entity come onto you, it cant be nice really though, still a compliment, but in my eyes would leave a certain "bad taste"!

Just my 2pence!

I agree, Squiff, re those who whinge & whine & then stay with their abusers  .

And Mr 19 certainly gave the ego a boost! Judging by his looks, it didn't come out of desperation either... lol. He's a bouncer (doorman? whatever you lot call them) at a "the" club here, so imagine he'd have his pick. Then again, perhaps he's on a collection stint & just asks every girl out of habit. Anyway, he's new to town & needs someone to show him around  . It'd be unfriendly to turn him away!

As for the married thing, I'm as yet undecided as to be flattered by the attention or offended that they think I'd be up for it. In the meantime, the two can just cancel each other out in that department & continue to be nothing but frustrating!

Arrrrrgh!

Don't get me wrong, fellas, I understand the window-shopping & don't think there's any harm there. I mean, one can appreciate a nice cut, despite having already bought an outfit for the ball... But to buy another would be just foolish.

Points to you, Timbo, if you've only been as far as you admit.

My wife and I have been together for Twenty Years this August. I love her to bits and we trust each other implicitly. That doesn't mean we don't have friends of the opposite sex it just means that that's all they are, just friends. I think the problem lies when married poeple(and I say that to cover men and women) just don't know how to have a friendship and keep it as that. I often wonder as well if these poeple are happy in their relationship. If not I can't understand why they would be out "shopping" elsewhere.

If people are unhappy enough to be looking elsewhere, why can't they finish what they've already started first? This is the whole problem, imo. If you thought enough of someone to commit to them initially (be it marriage or whatever), then think enough of them to end the commitment BEFORE going & bonking whoever you like (providing they're not married  )!

Do unto others & all that...

A good post VTRgirl :!:

IMO I think there are decent people out there with good standards and morals, but I'm afraid they are the small minority and that goes for both women and men :!:

Tony is probably right to a point, also the younger person in most cases is going to more attractive than the older older one :!:

IMO I think you need to be mixing/socializing with people who have the same sort of standards and morals as yourself, easier to say than do I know :!:
