I think you will find that this is the MCN's artists impression (computer trickery) of what they thought the 2007 storm might look like last year.

Have a look at it closely and you can see the latest Blade everywhere

i'd be surprised if that wasn't someone's modded bike with a blade body kit fitted.

That's rather splendid. Is it running straight bars?
Two bikes, still only four cylinders!

Nope, not "presents" behind the sofa, but Photoshop madness!

Seeing as JAY.B posted some funky pics of his sweet Storm, I fancied a wallpaper of it. I knocked up a nice but simple one here:

I don't like "busy" wallpapers.

Feel free to use it however you like. I'll do another when Alan's is all done and finished.
Additionally, reading up some more on rumours from Honda, it seems very likely that the Varadaro will get an all new fuel injected 1200 engine in 2008. There's nothing about a new FireStorm at all, but if the engine is there to use, it's a possibility. A direct competitor to BMW's R1200 GS. As BMW also features sports models of the same engine in the R1200 S - a new FireStorm would be a logical match for it. Here's hoping

If they develop an all new 1200, knowing how Honda work, they will very likely develop a 1200 RC52 SP-3 - but whether they'll ever build it is a different story.

I plan to send them an email telling them how there's a slavering bunch of Storm junkies over here that will beat down the doors of Honda dealers any day for a new model Storm.

VTR new generation

Post by jay-storm »

Okay here's my humble take on the situation - Honda please take note.

MCN's Blade/VTR looks good - but that's because it's just a blade with storm engine and pegs whacked on in photoshop.

I think if Honda were to re-launch it they should strike a balance between race rep and cool streetbike. The appeal of the VTR for me is it's not an out and out racer nor is it a bland commuter - it sits in between. They should take a leaf out of Buells book and do something like the new 1125R - ( http://thekneeslider.com/archives/2007/ ... tax-v-twin )

And if they keep the price tag at around £7K then we could all afford one (well kind of) !

Good idea ?
