as I was interested in you being able to buy your bike back from them, something that a lot of insurers won't do

From what i can gather most insurance co's will let you have the vehicle back for the salvage price(as per the engineers report). But only if the bike is a Cat-C or D write off.....Cat A means the bike is effed and there are no usable parts and cat B means the bike has salvagable parts but i think u have to be a registered breaker to buy a cat B damaged bike form an official source(insurance co's etc)
As for who i am insured with its EBIKE...The 3rd party(who will give me back the bike) is direct line.
And just for prosterity my solicitors who sorted it all was Rider Support Services.

The 3rd party has finally put in her statement to the insurance company just before the 3mnth cut off period( i think she was advised )......
Anyway, according to her she was 3/4 of the way into her U-turn and stationary when i overtook her at speed and lost control of my bike!!!!
P*ss taking f*ckbag......what a crock of sh*t......If that was the case my bike would be effed and the engineers damage report would reflect this.......As it stands at the moment my solicitors are now preparing a letter to her insurance company contesting this statement based on the evidence collated over the last few mnths, telling them it would be folly for them to continue down this route as i would wipe the floor with them/her in court.
I will go to court as well( if it comes to that ) i dont mind standing there defending myself because i know what the crack was......its just a bol*ock ache and more of an inconveniance than anything else.
Why cant people just be straight up and say things how they are??....she is trying to cover her a*se which is silly because the evidence doesnt support her "allegations".
I hate liars man......if i was a female i would go round there and scratch her damn eyes out so she cant drive and endanger anyone else on the road. Irresponsible tw@t.

Update 
Just recieved a call from paul at RSS.........
Direct Line have admitted liability on behalf of their insured in the face of physical evidence and are going to pay out £2100 for the bike and £1366 for clothing and minor injuries.
Total : £3466
On top of this I have got my storm back and can put it back on the road with a few parts(about £200 worth) and after an independant engineers inspection to say its roadworthy(cost £50-£80).
They will also have to pay for hire of the bikes i have had in the interim @£59 per day. aproxx 95 days hire so far(£5605)
This has been a long slog and it has played heavily on my mind not knowing what was going to happen(even tho i was reassured all the way by RSS). Sleepless nights had me waking up screaming "my storm, my money" covered in sweat
Now that it is all drawing to a close i would just like to put in a few good words for the people that have made it right for me.
Rider Support Services. They are absolutely ACE, Steven Douglas and Paul Pavlou have done a fine job in doing what they have. I had my reservations to start but they were totally on my side 100% of the time and if any of you guys do happen to have a mishap on your wheels involving another person then make them your first call. I filled in their forms, they sorted a replacement vehicle for me, dealt with the insurance co's, got my bike back and got me a payout to boot.
If i would do anything different next time it would be to ensure i had a witness thats all, as it would have speeded things up a bit.
I will still be a bit sceptical until i recieve the chq as it still hasnt sunk in yet that "justice" has prevailed. But it appears to have, so now i am off to the toilet
with a hein gerricke catalogue and i am not coming out until i go blind( from reading it ) .

Glad someone has had a result. It's now been 21 month I've been fighting with the Motor insurance Bureau MIB over my accident that was caused by an uninsured east European. Higgins & co solicitors have been great. The MIB is shoot. I'm now waiting for a court date. If I had not been fully comp I would have been right in the sh**.
The east European was found guilty in court but the MIB are still arguing over it.
