no. well pissed off.

Please stop reading now if you are squeamish or you don't want to be seriously depressed!

Had a vasectomy tuesday two weeks ago so what happens - the sun comes out, big time and I can't even sit in a chair without pain!

So I decide to fix my fork seals whilst I'm too sore to ride.... Long story short - bit of a pain doing the seals as one was stuck in a big way.

Finally get ot all together. Stick then on the bike today and as I let the bike down off the jack onto the newly, sealed blasted and painted forks......

A dribble of fork fluid runs down the side of each fork leg. What the F***?

Now I'm feeling good enough to ride and the seals have failed (or I have done something wrong putting them back together?)

Still too sore to ride the mountain bike so no two wheel action for two weeks and I'll put a 100 squid down on it raining the day I get out at last...

Sorry I'll get my coat.....rant over  :(

You think that's uncomfortable? Last tuesday I had a perineal abscess excised - definitly no riding for me for at least another 3 weeks :(
Basically, they slit me from b*ll*cks to assh*le, stretched it open (about 3/4 inch in my case) and stitched it so as to hold the wound open then it heals from inside out. Next thing to a feckin sex-change operation. I am well pissed off ATM... beautiful weather and my 'storm sitting neglected in the garage.

Chris - Way Way Way too much info!!!!!!!!! If it's painful sitting down and your Storm's neglected go polish it, it'll take your mind of 'polishing' your rocket!

Woke up yesterday AM to a text from a mate fancying a ride out, "Somewhere, Anywhere!" - sounded desperate.

I had all sorts I should have been doing like emptying the sh1t tip of a garage to make space for working on a bike without having to drag them all out onto driveway, but thought a friend in need etc...

So rang him and told him to get his backside to mine asap.

Rang another mate who's been nagging to go out, but he was working (although he said he might be up for a ride out today! - what? another lovely ride out in the sun!!!!)

Meantime, got the Zumo 550 satnav mapping software up (new toy) and planned a nice, almost circular route from Skipton back to Otley via Hawes, the Tan Hill Inn for lunch, Leyburn and lots of back roads in between :D about 110 miles it reckoned - plus the miles from mine to Skipton and Otley back to mine again.

Wifey was going to tag along on her RS125, but then remembered she'd promised to take daughter to town to buy the finishing touches for her 'Prom outfit' (Unlucky!!!  )- Prom? we were lucky if we got an end of year cheesey disco!

So just me an my mate with route d/l to our Zumo's, set off on our adventure.

Saw more Ford Escorts than I think I must've done in my life on the way! feckin loads! turns out when we arrived at THI there was a 'lakes tour' with cars from allover UK and Ireland.

Super weather (allthough had a 3 min shower at THI wierd!), nice lunch, lovely roads, not too much traffic, only feds we saw was while we were parked at Hawes and at the Sun Inn. Who could ask for more? 8) 8)

Mate thoroughly enjoyed the run out even thanked me!

Got home slightly later than planned, as we were supposed to be taking daughter to Keighley for a concert she was playing in, wife waited for me with pants and shirt at the ready when I got in, got there 'just' in time.

Only downside, Bike needs a really, really good clean now!

Great day.

Oh BTW had snip a few years ago, don't know what your whining about, went shopping straight from the Op on Saturday AM (retail therapy!) was back at work Monday.
Although during Op the surgeon numbed both, finished the 1st one and when he started 2nd I nearly hit the ceiling! Anesthetic had worn off!!! 8O
"can you feel that?" he said. Feel it? never felt as much pain in me life!!!!
So he numbed it again, waited for it to take effect and cracked on.

Ride out in the Wolds ending at the BMW open day (AstleBMW Grimsby)
Took the mighty 1200GS out 8O 8O Bloody hell what a bike, a proper touring machine. 130mph ish bouncing off the limiter in 6th (i know its childish but hell may never ride one again), wheelies v easy in 1st, very agile for its size, lots of toys, no wind buffet at all 8O...and I mean NO wind 8O . Would have one in the garage purely for winter and long runs but no where near the Storm for road fun.

Can't ride so with nothing better to do I put the new chain and sprockets on the storm. :) Managed the job with the exception of rivetting the pin heads - I'm still awaiting delivery of a chain tool. Only one f*ck up - looked at the chain after pressing the plate on and realised I had 2 X-rings on one pin and none on the other  Disassembly was a bit more tricky. I must remember to rivet those heads before riding it... :P
