Anti Rattle Screws? Fixings?

Post by RedStormV »

Ok, I give up, what do they call 'em? :?

Number 24 in the fiche below.

There's 2 on the seat unit and 2 on the fairing.

Anyone know the proper name for 'em?

Where I can get 'em from apart from main dealer / David Silvers?

How much?

Couple of mine are on last legs so might as well be replaced.

Graeme.

Panel pins/panel clips/trim clips any way
You can get them in the handy pack section of halfords £1.98 ish for 5 or 6
Just make sure you take one with you there's a couple of different sizes

Failing that I used black plastic number plate bolts as I was fed up of them breaking/falling out.

You'll also find them inside the fairing lowers below the rads.
Often people don't replace them after they break, so if yours doesn't have any it's worht fiting a couple, just to make sure tha plastic doesn't rattle itself into cracks at the four bolted external mounting points (two each side).
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Hi Tony,

Thanks for that matey, should have put more detail in my post really but it's the two at the front that have just about had it.

Just easier to show it on the seat pod fiche than the one with the fairings on that's all.

Cheers anyway matey :)

BTW ain't got me ass into gear to get any yet, will try pop into Halfords later this week.

Don't know what there called but I got a couple last time I was at my Honda main dealer, just asked for the plastic clips that held the rear fairing in place underneath. IIRC they were about 90 odd pence each.
Odd thing was thou' he asked me if mine had a rough or smooth finish on the top. Apparently there are 2 different types. 8O
