Hi All, New member, old problem
Hi, I cannot find a new member section to say hi so i'll do it here, Sorry if its the wrong place . I live in not sunny Devon and have come back to bikes in a big way after about 16 years. Have brought a 53 reg firestorm in 03 blue ( best colour of course, They left the best till last )
Anyway usual problem, whats the easist and /or cheapest way to fit renthal bars to the bike, with or without cutting the fairing. I have a busted wrist and it hurting at slow speeds. so its either change the bars or change the bike and I like it too much
Thanks for any help and hello again

Helibars may be the answer.
No extended cables or replacement brake lines required. And most importantly you don't need to modify the fairing.Just bolt them on and off you go.

Hi,
Renthal conversion is probably going to be the cheaper option, unless you can source some VFR clip-ons from flebay cheaply.
You might also look at Gilles Vario bars or even give Spondon a call see if they've done any specials (very likely).
Think Alan has Spondon clip-ons on his Blade forks to save having to alter fairing.
A bit of a comparison of different adjustable bars on this thread:

Spondon's website is http://www.spondonengineering.co.uk/

I do, but even I have to slow down at some pointBeamish wrote:Welcome, just ride bloody fast and use the wind to ease the load on your wrist
a mate has found these clamps made by Raask in M & P £35, just clamp them onto the forks and clamp the bars on. Anyone used them? Obviously you will still have the fairing problem but I can sort that

Apparently I'm supposed to care!!

Q, would love to do that ride every weekend. Will try to get up before end of summer. Still coming to terms with keeping the bike singing at 8-9k to ensure the power comes in on command. Flipping quick and flipping comfy but bloody 4 pots are weird will prob swap to another twin next year .
