Temperature light on ?

Post by willo »

When stopped at lights the other day ( for ages) the temperature gauge slowly went up. At about half way the light came. Didn't notice the fan come on though I wasn't really listening for it.
Anyway once moving again the gauge dropped back down to normal but the light stayed on until I got home and switched ignition off. When I switched it back straight away the light didn't come on. Any ideas why.
thanks

What light?
Are you sure it wasn't the fuel light. Normally once it's triggard it stays on and depending on the level of your fuel the next time you ride the bike, when you switch back on, it's out.

The light was not the fuel warning. It was actually on the temp gauge. The red section near the hot end of the scale.
The reason it was on (and stayed on) is because I switched my headlights on. Doh!!!!!!!!!! never mind at least I know now.
