Loud Bang
Loud Bang
Picture this (and I'm sure you all can) called in to my local petrol station tonight for fuel. Paid for the fuel, put the gloves and helmet on switched on the ignition pressed the starter but it didn't fire up, pressed it again and this time it fired. Wow!!! people in the forecourt and the kiosk all ducking and jumping. What do you do? just look around to let them think it wasn't you, climb on and clear off.
I would love to see the cctv of it.
High level Blue Flames by the way.
Cheers A.M.

Budgie,Tattie, don't suppose you have any decent piccies of your blue flames do you? I can't seem to find any high levels that look right on the 'storm . wondered how smart yours look!
Check out my StainTunes. I am not sure you will be able to get them in the UK as they are an Australian make, but it might give you some more ideas.

Hi proudest monkey
staintune are available in the uk through woody"s importarium look like a nice set of cans and keep stock footrest hangers from photos i"ve seen is that correct ? the phone number for anyone else interested is 01443742421.
Got a set of high level blue flames myself but the staintune do look better i think, not so much of a bend from can to link pipe and prices are resonable aswell.

Pappy,
Yeah, you can keep the stock pillion pegs with both the high mount system (like mine) or the low mount system (obviously). With the high mounts, you are supplied with the appropriate 2-3cm spacers.

Sorry I don't have any pics of the high levels at the moment.
They do look good apart from the 90mm spacers!!!!!!! for the pillion pegs, I reckon that a hefty passenger putting weight on them might bend the rear subframe. So my spacers are off for the moment. Also the way they sweep up pretty close to the front pegs, if you try to put the balls of your feet on the front pegs (size 10) your heels hit the heat deflector plates on the link pipes.
I am hoping to get another set of Blue flames (oval s/s evos) in the next few weeks from a lister on this site.
A mate got another make of link pipes and chopped and bent them with the result that his (Blue Flames) are up tight to his tail section and they look smart.
Cheers

BTW, Mine do too! I am a size 9 and sometimes melt the rubber off the bottom of my boots onto the link pipes. That said, i contacted StainTune and they don't make any stainless steel deflector plates for them. I am currently looking for a good stainless welder/machinest in melbourne that might be able to help me out too ;).tattie wrote:... the way they sweep up pretty close to the front pegs, if you try to put the balls of your feet on the front pegs (size 10) your heels hit the heat deflector plates on the link pipes.
